Company history:

• 2004: Founded as a “spin-off ” company of the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt ( PTB- the National Metrology Institute of Germany) in Braunschweig
• 2006: Product launch LaserTRACER
• 2008: Etalon becomes “Siemens Solution Partner “
• 2009: Etalon becomes ” Zeiss Business Partner”
• 2011: Product launch LaserTRACER-MT
• 2013: Move to new company building “Hinter dem Turme “
• 2013: Product launch  Absolute Multiline Technology
• 2015: Product launch LaserTRACER NG
• 2016: Foundation Etalon North America Inc.
• 2017: Product launch LineCAL
• 2019: In January Etalon becomes part of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence
• 2019: Etalon moves into its new offices and changes from “AG” to “GmbH”
• 2020: The two Hexagon Companies AICON 3D Systems GmbH and Etalon GmbH merge to form Hexagon DEU01 GmbH
• 2021. The company name changes to Hexagon AICON ETALON GmbH
